Kuwait, 30 October 2017: Vice President – Alternative Investments Department at Dimah Capital, Waleed Mohammad, said that the Company succeeded, along with a group of investors, in the acquisition of “Central Drive Retail Park” in UK at a cost of GBP 12 million, as part of the Company’s efforts to diversify its Sharia compliant real estate investments internationally, both geographic and sector wise, to achieve the best returns with the lowest risks.

Mohammed stated in a press release that the investment generates cash returns of up to 8% per annum, to be distributed monthly, and an expected internal rate of return (IRR) of 10.15% on the investment period of 3 years with the option of extension for two additional years for the best interest of the investors.

He explained that the investment strategy is focused on operating the fully leased property, taking advantage of the monthly leasing revenues and adding value to it by exploring additional sources of income to obtain the best capital gains when exiting at the end of the investment period. The property is located in the coastal city of Morecambe in the Gulf of Morecambe, northwest of the United Kingdom, Lancashire County. The property is strategically located and contains international brands such as “Next Retail”, “Home Base” and “Dave Whelan Sports (Intersport)”, some of the most important attractions for shoppers from adjacent areas.
